Liverpool's ''Istanbul '05 Blackout'' jersey
A celebratory shirt for the Champions League victory against Milan
May 6th, 2020
Liverpool FC have released a blackout retro football shirt inspired by their iconic kit worn against AC Milan during the Champions League final in Istanbul, the one with sponsors Carlsberg and Reebok.
Unlike the version used in 2005, the blackout shirt does not have the English technical sponsorship mark and obscures all the embroideries present, namely the Reds logo, the patch celebrating the final and the Carlsberg writing.
The production of the celebrative jersey was taken over directly by Liverpool and is therefore unbranded, which represents an advantage for the English company which has already had to deal with the problem of the change of technical sponsor - caused by the postponement of the end of the championships due to the coronavirus - in the current season.
The limited edition shirt is part of the exclusive LFC Retro collection and was sold for just £ 25 on the official Liverpool store website. Obviously it went immediately sold out.
