Chelsea's new third shirt by Nike
Presented today after FIFA leaks in recent weeks
October 6th, 2022
If leaks used to be confined only to sites and blogs that unceremoniously decided to preview all the details, brands and clubs now have to deal with dangers coming from all sides. In addition to the usual photos from the brand's warehouses or a few preview photoshoots, they now also have to dodge video games like FIFA and PES, which have quickly become the main hub of football shirt leaks. And after seeing it first on FIFA, the day after the big Champions League win against AC Milan, Chelsea unveiled their new and latest cream-coloured third jersey.
A jersey that, like all the others designed by Nike for this season, remains faithful to the Vaporknit 2022 template, protagonist of all the kits this season, including the national team. The design is inspired by the idea of "Chelsea Smart", or when the classic meets the future, the perfect recipe to create the future of West London fashion for a club on the rise in recent years. The location of the shoot is no coincidence either, the new shirt was shot in its entirety in the elegant River Café in Fulham, a bar near Putney Bridge with a vintage 1960s feel. Wearing the new third kit are the creators and fans of the Blues from the Soho Yacht Club community, an emerging streetwear brand from west London that is pushing the boundaries of fashion, just as the London club aims to do, on and off the pitch.
