Argyle vibes
October 20th, 2022
Different but complementary, the worlds of fashion and football continue to intersect and mix, to the point of influencing each other. The latest chapter in this special crossover sees Kappa and Drôle de Monsieur, a brand originally from Dijon and famous for its aesthetic that takes its inspiration from the 80s and 90s, collaborate on a very special collection for Monaco that obviously includes a game jersey that will make its debut this weekend in the away match against Lille. The jerseys, both the one designed for the movement players and the one for the goalkeeper, are distinguished by their argyle lozenge motif inspired by the history of the Principality of Monaco.
But in addition to the game shirts, the capsule collection also includes a lifestyle part featuring two t-shirts, a tracksuit, a bag and a cap. Very particular garments that are a direct reference to those who frequent the region and those who know it through the photographic and cinematographic heritage that has created its fame. A belonging that also transpires from the shoot, all the shots were in fact taken in two mythical places in Monaco, the Rocca, in the heart of the principality with its cafés and souvenir shops, and the Laryotto, a modern district where the views of the sea and the city overlap.
