Choupo-Moting designed a jersey for his first club
True love is never forgotten
October 24th, 2022
It is indeed true, the first love, in this case the first club, is never forgotten. This is the case of Choupo-Moting, the Bayern Munich striker in agreement with PUMA, his current sponsor, designed the shirt for Altona 93, a German fifth division club. Not just any jersey for any occasion, the class of '89 designed the jersey for the much-loved derby against Viktoria Hamburg. The Cameroonian striker, who over the years has also been noted for his style off the pitch, did not disappoint expectations and for his club he went all out for a shirt that has a retro flavour but is still consistent with the club's social colours.
The initiative did not come about just because of the link between Choupo-Moting, PUMA and Altona 93, but is part of the German 'Kit Factory' brand project, unfortunately not yet active in Italy. In fact, in addition to being able to design a jersey according to one's own tastes and aesthetics, periodically the brand will also select players who will be called upon to create real jerseys for minor and other teams. An initiative to enhance those qualities that are not visible at the weekend on the pitch and that give every athlete the chance to unleash his imagination. But Choupo-Moting was not the only one, in September 2021, Bellerin (then still sponsored by the German brand) was selected by EA Sports as the new fashion designer of VOLTA Football, a project born in the FIFA 20 edition on the echo of another product of the American production company, FIFA Street.
