Sampdoria unveiled the three jerseys for the 2023/24 season
Few changes to the world's most beautiful jersey

"You will see a royal city leaning against an alpine hill, 'splendid' for men and for walls, whose only appearance marks it out as the Lady of the Sea," was how the poet Francesco Petrarca defined Genoa in 1358 during one of his trips to Liguria, and it is from these words that the new jerseys Sampdoria will wear for the 2023/24 season are inspired. Sampdoria home jersey, voted the most beautiful in the world in a poll by ESPN, returns with only a few changes from the usual Blucerchiata jersey. The four horizontal stripes in the centre, white, red, black and white again, with the coat of arms of St George in the middle, have remained. What is new is the embossed graphic, which replicates the waves of the sea and can be seen at the very top, on the front and back and on the sleeves. The round neckline and sleeve edges have blucerchiati detailing and the back neckline is decorated with the club colours, the words 'Signora del Mare', the Macron logo and the words 'Designed in Bologna', confirming Macron's role in defining the blucerchiata aesthetic.
The Away jersey is white with a polo collar and knitted sleeve edges. In the centre, where the four stripes white, red, black and white again with the San Giorgio crest in the middle, there is a graphic wave motif, tone on tone and in sublimation print. The stylistic innovation of the second Dorian shirt lies in the embossed pattern with the repeating symbols of the anchor and the baciccia, which reaffirm the reference to the sea and create a style with strong references to the fashion world. The third shirt is black with a polo collar and knitted cuffs. On the right side, starting from the shoulder and running the length of the shirt, there is a blucerchiata band and in the centre of the jersey the crest of St George stands out. On the sleeves is the embossed graphic, tone on tone, with anchors and baciccia, while the unusual amber colour has been used for all the details.
