Jordan delivers Paris Saint-Germain third kit
Using the historic Elephant Print on a football jersey
September 20th, 2023
Last night, Paris Saint-Germain entered their Champions League season opener wearing their third jersey designed in collaboration with Jordan Brand, the Parisian club's joint technical sponsor with Nike. The jersey uses one of the Jumpman's most famous patterns, the Elephant Print, which has made several models memorable, first the Jordan 3 and then the AirMax1 and Dunk, confirming PSG's interest in the streetwear world. The third jersey has already been previewed by Travis Scott, another celebrity attracted to football jerseys as a lifestyle element, in one of his IG stories over the summer.
Alongside the new jersey, PSG also unveiled Champions League lettering, contrasting orange and a new Pre-match jersey with the same cement pattern. Along with the third jersey, a Jordan Brand lifestyle collection was also launched, including T-shirts, shorts, hoodies, fleeces and jackets, and most notably two Jordan trainers with the Paris club logos: a Jordan 3 black and a Jordan 6 low in grey. Further proof that for PSG, even the introduction of the third jersey is a way to build an aesthetic identity and communication as a true fashion brand.
