The Canadian identity on Pacific FC home jersey
Macron celebrated British Columbia and its community in this Trident Territory Kit

There is a strong connection between North American soccer and nature. Compared to its European counterpart, which is strongly rooted in cities through buildings, neighborhoods and playing fields, American soccer has always exerted a counter-cultural fascination in the shadow of the gigantic professional basketball, American football and baseball leagues, retreating into the boundless natural landscapes. As a result, the logos, jerseys and visual identity of the teams also draw heavily on these inspirations, as shown by the example of Pacific FC, a team in the Canadian Premier League, which has just unveiled its new home jersey by Macron. The Bologna-based brand has been dressing the league's eight teams since its inception in 2019, exporting its logo to the other side of the ocean.
Pacific FC was born in British Columbia, between the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, where rugged coastlines, grassy plains and glacial lakes dominate. And where football has become a means to bind a small but proud community together, as shown by the faces and places the team has chosen for the upcoming season's jersey. The photos were taken at some of the most iconic locations in the Trident Territory and show the passion of the fans and the everyday life of the local community. The city's meeting café, the perfect food truck for the post-match celebrations, the multiculturalism of Chinatown and the institutional nature of City Hall are not missing. An identity that is told through the photos of the fans wearing the new home jersey for the 2024 season.
A jersey that celebrates those who make Vancouver Island special and carry the Trident banner forward. Those in the community who inspire the team to strive every day on and off the pitch to represent the Island with pride. Every fan is as much a part of the club as the players who take the field and bring glory to Vancouver Island, and the jersey is an opportunity to represent not only the club, but the community as well. With the trident in our club's crest, the Trident Territory kit is unmistakably linked to the identity of the place in which it plays. In an eye-catching purple, this kit conveys the sense of energy, growth and a rising tide that the team aims to represent on the pitch.
