The adidas jerseys for Euro2024
Here are the newly revealed kits for Germany, Spain, Belgium, Scotland, Hungary, and Wales
March 14th, 2024
It was a day of big releases for adidas, who, in addition to the two new jerseys for the Italian national team, also presented the jerseys of all the other national teams that will take part in the continental tournament in Germany from June 14 to July 14. In addition to Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Scotland, Hungary and Wales are also sponsored by the Three Stripes, with the jerseys emphasizing the national and identity-creating character. The design chosen for the home and away jerseys is based on the historic Teimgeist model worn by adidas teams during the 2006 World Cup, which also took place on German soil.
And it was the hosts who showed off perhaps the most unusual kit of the lot, an away jersey in an unprecedented fuschia color for the defunct team, while the home version will be in a more traditional white with black, red and yellow accents. Belgium, on the other hand, will pay homage to the historic cartoon character Tintin with a sky blue jersey paired with brown playing shorts, in a nod to the little adventurer's classic attire, complemented by an elegant white polo collar. The home version is in burgundy red, both jerseys have a cubic tone-on-tone pattern with a Belgian crown detail. The Spanish national team, meanwhile, will combine the traditional home kit in red with yellow detailing with an away version in lime, while Scotland will alternate the classic dark blue jersey with yellow accents with a mint blue jersey with purple detailing.
The two surprise teams of Euro2024, Hungary and Wales, on the other hand, will be wearing home kits that do not reveal the red flag color. Italy coach Marco Rossi's team will wear a red home kit with white and green details for the first time, while the away version will be white and the other colors will be used for the stripes and inserts. Wales, on the other hand, have opted for a more traditional home kit, while the signature detail of the away kit is the inserts on the sides with more zigzag stripes. In each home and away jersey, the size of the new adidas logo cannot be overlooked. It is larger than in the past and competes with the association emblems, both of which are made of rubberized material and hot-applied here.
