Pep Guardiola and Noel Gallagher: name a more iconic duo

Kyle Walker lying on the floor, Pep Guardiola holding an acoustic guitar, Ederson and Kovacic leaning against the window. After a long wait, this morning Manchester City released the highly anticipated fourth kit of the season, designed by PUMA in collaboration with Noel Gallagher, a clear tribute to Oasis' debut album Definitely Maybe, released exactly thirty years ago. The return of the iconic Brit Pop band could not have happened without the involvement of Manchester's Sky Blue side, supported by the Gallagher brothers since before they became international superstars of Cool Britannia.
The kit features the color palette of the album cover, with a dominant cream color highlighted by light blue on the shirts and polo collar. A detail that could not be missing on a football jersey designed by Oasis. The sleeve edges and side details are in powder pink and the City crest is in gold, while the back neck features the name of the collection, which also includes a selection of lifestyle pieces: Definitely City. The complete collection includes a running jacket and pants, an oversized shirt, a bomber jacket, a t-shirt, a polo, a retro shirt, and a training top.
"I loved City before anything else, I was a City fan before I was a music fan, I was a City fan before I even knew what music was" - declared Noel Gallagher in the press release - "When PUMA contacted us during a game to design a kit, it took us about five seconds to say yes. It's the same color palette as the Definitely Maybe cover: it's unique but impactful, and I think it's fantastic. When you see people representing their club, it's important that they look good."
