The new AS Monaco shirt celebrates the 1959/60 French Cup The first trophy in the history of the Rochers

The 2024/25 season is the centenary season for AS Monaco. On this occasion, the French club, in collaboration with its technical sponsor Kappa, has chosen to pay tribute to one of the most beautiful pages in its history by releasing the re-issue of the shirt with which the Rocher lifted the first major trophy in their history: the Coupe de France of the 1959/60 season. On May 15, 1960, thanks to a spectacular final that ended 4-2 against AS Saint-Etienne at the Yves-du-Manoir Olympic Stadium in Colombes, the Monegasques, coached by Lucien Leduc – captain Raymond Kaelbel and his teammates Henri Alberto, Marcel Nowak, Georges Thomas, François Ludo, Henri Biancheri, André Hess, Michel Hidalgo, Serge Roy, Lucien Cossou, and Bert Carlier – won the Coupe de France, the first of five trophies in the club's history. A first triumph that remains etched in the annals of French football.

A magnificent performance achieved while wearing a red and white striped shirt, known to the white and red supporters of all ages. The draw for the 32nd round of the 108th edition of the Coupe de France, held yesterday, designated Union Saint-Jean as the next opponent of the club from the Principality. The following day, the 1959/60 season shirt debuts on the market in a limited edition: a design faithful to the shirt of the time, with stripes reaching down to the sleeves, wide bands, and a white V-neck collar. The club crest and the Kappa logo, made in gold – a trademark of Kappa – fit perfectly on the chest, making the shirt almost identical to the one worn 64 years ago.

This shirt, as well as the entire 2024-2025 Kappa x AS Monaco collection, is available in the online store and at the official store – Les Jardins d'Apolline, 1 PROMENADE HONORÉ II, 98000 Monaco, as well as on the Kappa website.
