The jersey for the 115 years of Padova
Made by Macron inspired by the one worn in 1910
January 24th, 2025
On February 20, 1910, the Padova Football Association played its first official match. On the field "Giovan Battista Belzoni", the Padovans faced Hellas Verona for a scoreless draw. The jersey worn by the eleven players on that day, 115 years ago, was the inspiration for the Anniversary Kit created by Macron to celebrate this important anniversary. The kit, of which only 115 numbered copies have been made, will be worn tomorrow during the home game against Pro Vercelli. The Anniversary Kit has a white polo collar and is divided vertically into two halves: red on the right, white on the left with inverted colored sleeves, all on a sublimated fabric to create a vintage effect.
On the chest, on the right, the Macron logo is embroidered in red with gold trim, while on the left, on the heart side, the AC Padova logo is applied in a vintage version, which is reminiscent of the one used by the Venetian team until 1977. The back neck is personalized with the colors and emblem of the club, the words "NOI SIAMO I PADOVANI" (We are the Padovans) and the Macron logo. On the outer back neck, two dates are embroidered in gold: January 29, 1910 and January 29, 2025, to celebrate the 115 years of history of the white and black team. Another detail is the sublimated print on the side, which features a quote from its first president, Baron Giorgio Treves de' Bonfili (who also played in the friendly match on February 20, 2010), which reads "The colors will be those of the city of Padova: white and red".
