
Borussia Dortmund returns to one of its most iconic kits

This Saturday, Borussia Dortmund will take the field with a special neon jersey for their home game against FC Augsburg. This limited edition jersey, made by PUMA, is a tribute to the legendary 1994/95 season, which marked the club's first Bundesliga title in 32 years. This year, 30 years after that unforgettable victory, the club celebrates one of Germany's most glorious and recognizable moments. The era of Borussia Dortmund in the 90s is remembered for its vibrant colors and unique players.
The neon jerseys of that period were bold, visible, and full of personality - just like the team itself. The jersey was designed by Drake Ramberg, the iconic kit designer for Nike who recently retired after a legendary career. It was characterized not only by the color of the commercial sponsor, Die Continental, but also by the contrasting designs on the sleeves. With the launch of this new special jersey, BVB aims to revive that energy, encouraging fans and players to be bold, unique, and to face life with courage - no matter how crazy it may seem. The slogan of this campaign, "Dare to stand out", perfectly embodies this spirit.
The new Borussia kit will not have the historic sponsor in the center of the jersey, nor the same design for the collar and sleeves, but it will maintain the same identity that animates one of the loudest and most recognizable sections in Europe, the Yellow Wall of the Westfalenstadion. Against FC Augsburg, the yellow wall of Borussia will be even more vibrant, thanks to the return of this historic jersey.
