Ajax and adidas present a jersey to celebrate the club's 125th anniversary. The jersey is inspired by the historic white-red-white kit, worn for the first time in the 1911/1912 season. In a special long-sleeve version, it features a classic buttoned collar and the Amsterdam flag on the chest, with all-white shorts and black socks with red details on the sleeves completing the kit. Ajax's first teams will wear the anniversary jersey only once: the men's team on Sunday, March 16, against AZ Alkmaar, and the women's team on Sunday, March 30, against ADO Den Haag. In these matches, the sleeves of the jersey will be as they were in 1911, without commercial sponsors, leaving space only for the adidas Trefoil in a tone-on-tone version. The Eredivisie, Vriendenloterij, and sleeve sponsor Team Rockstars IT have waived their positions for this special occasion.

The design inspiration for the jersey comes from a team photo taken on September 10, 1911, which is believed to be the first photo of an Ajax team wearing that white-red-white kit. The photo was taken after winning the final of the Gouden Kruis tournament against Volharding. When Ajax was founded in 1900, the club initially played in an all-black kit, with the white-red striped kit introduced shortly after. Following promotion to the Eredivisie, league regulations began requiring a unique kit. It was decided to adopt the kit of the V.V.V. of Amsterdam (Veni Vidi Vici), whose football department had been dissolved two seasons earlier.

The Ajax 125th anniversary jersey is available on the club's e-commerce site and on adidas' website.
