The new Hellas Verona kit dedicated to the 1985 scudetto Another Anniversary Kit for the 2024/25 season

On May 12, 1985, Hellas Verona made history by becoming the only football club from a non-regional capital city in Serie A's single-round format to win the Scudetto. Forty years later, Hellas Verona and its sponsor Joma are proud to release the special kit dedicated to that glorious and historic achievement. The launch of the kit, which will officially become the club’s fourth for 2024/25 Serie A season, is the most significant moment in a series of initiatives the club has organized to pay tribute to that legendary team, coached by Osvaldo Bagnoli, the architect who turned a dream into reality. The kit is a clear reference to the shirt worn by the gialloblù in Atalanta-Verona, the match on May 12, 1985, which mathematically secured the Scudetto.

When will it be worn?

The special kit, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Italian champions, will be worn by the team coached by Zanetti in a single match: Verona-Lecce, scheduled for the weekend of May 10 and 11, a crucial fixture for the future of both teams. On that day, several activities will be organized at the stadium to celebrate the gialloblù's achievement and commemorate the milestone with the fans.

Details of the new kit

The iconic shirt from the match Atalanta-Verona played on May 12, 1985, was deliberately chosen as the inspiration and enriched with some additional details. The kit is yellow with very thin blue pinstripes that intersect with the logo on the chest. The logo with the mastiffs mirrors the one used for the Home 2024/25 shirt, with the addition of the number 40 at the top to mark the Scudetto anniversary, and the inscription 1985-2025 interspersed with the Tricolore. On the right side, the technical sponsor Joma appears. On the back, just below the collar, the Tricolore is prominently placed at the center to honor Bagnoli's team. Another tribute element is the patch inside, just below the collar, featuring a quote from Roberto Puliero, the historic voice of the gialloblù’s exploits: "And the city exploded in its loudest cheer". The special shirt, produced in both short and long sleeve versions, has been made, not coincidentally, in 1985 numbered examples, as indicated by the label applied at the bottom right.
