Nike launches a collection to celebrate 5 decades of basketball sneakers

A pack of shoes to have them all, that’s the idea of Nike Basketball, which gets ready to launch the “5 Decades of Basketball Pack”. As the name suggests, it’s a collection which features five of the most representative sneakers in the swoosh’s history, connected with the basketball world. The shoes have been remade with exclusive materials and they want to reminisce the history of American basketball, from the Seventies to today.

Let’s take a look at this élite of shoes, worn by the greatest champions in NBA history. Blazer were launched in the Seventies and they always kept their simplicity - less is better sometimes - and they still do. The Air Force 1 celebrate the Eighties. Nike says “they’re the first shoes with the “Air” concept”, any guess why? The Air Foamposite Pro represents the 1990 - even if made in ’97 - and it’s one of the most technological shoes ever, even for our times. The Zoom Generation are synonymous of LeBron James. The Nike 5 Decades of Basketball Pack is available at Kith Manhattan from February 10 and selected Global retailers from February 18.
