Monaco and Falcao to sign with new suppliers While the club is in talk with Under Armour, the Colombian is set to sign for Nike

Among the many changes that happen between the end of one season and the beginning of the next one, there is more and more interest about the ones regarding football clubs and players’ brands' partnerships. In this case, both the news are about Monaco, a club that - regardless of the reshaping of the project after the many millionaire signings - is having one of its best seasons. The Monegasque club, in fact, is actually on top of the Ligue 1, with many chances to become champion, and in the Champions League semi-finals, where it prepares to face Juventus.

It’s a recent news that the team from the Principality has been contacted by Under Armour, that seems interested in becoming white and red’s official supplier, replacing Nike, that has a deal with until 2019. Under Armour’s input is happening because, as Monaco’s great results both in terms of football and merchandising, where is selling more than big clubs like Lyon, Monegasque managers hoped for a substantial economic increase of the deal with the Swoosh.

And so, Under Armour made its move and, after dreaming a partnership with Real Madrid, could sing a less prestigious but still very important deal. That would also advantage Monaco, that will obtain a substantial growth of the economic prize and will become one of Baltimore company’s biggest assets. It must see if Nike will decide to satisfy the Monegasque club, maybe proposing an early renewal with more favorable terms for the Principality team.

But for a team that will probably lose, Nike prepares instead to open its doors to a massive champion, bonded to Monaco itself. It looks like “El Tigre” Radamel Falcao is set to leave PUMA, to become a Nike player. After some training and friendly matches, in fact, Falcao wore for the first time in an official match the Nike Mercurial from Nike’s “Blur Pack”, confirming what used to be merely suggestions.
