The Three Stripes' last "chanson" for the OM

Although the season has not finished yet, it’s time for new shirts. adidas is amongst the first ones which launched the new Kit. During their last year of the contract with l’Olympique de Marseille, adidas has decided to move up the launch: PUMA will be the sponsor of the French team, substituting a partnership which lasted for years.

The new kit of Marseille is simple but at the same time appealing: its first shirt is all white and decorated with the usual blue details, always a mark of the club from Marseille. This year the agreement between l’Olympique de Marseille and Intersport has also finished, therefore the French club is free to sign another sponsorship agreement. A further difference regarding the football kit is that collar of the first shirt has a V shape. In addition, the three stripes which were on the shoulder, come back to the side.

On May 9, adidas has launched the third shirt of Marseille leaving the fans quite happy regarding the new look: in fact, this has a characteristic color, dark purple, and some buttons in the collar instead of the V shape. The three stripes are again on the side, leaving the back free. As opposed to the first shirt, this third one has the old logo of l’Olympique de Marseille, in order to recall past successes. The only thing left to do is to wait until next year to understand if adidas will be able to close the relationship with Marseille successfully.
