Don Andrés

Today is the birthday of one of those special players, one of those then, no matter which team you love or support, can only be supported and esteemed. Andrés Iniesta embodies all the magic that the old-fashioned "registi" can do - and we know something thanks to Andrea Pirlo - a role that is harder and harder to find these days.

At 33, Don Andrés has literally won everything he could, both with his beloved Barça and with the Spanish Selecciòn, even with the satisfaction to score the decisive goal in the World Cup final against Holland. His only regret may be not to have won the Ballon d'Or, even when everybody was praising him as the legitimate winner. This doesn't change a bit of his amazing career, that football will miss so much once retired. Luckily, that moment is still far away. Feliz cumple, Iniesta!
