Many times we underlined the importance of Umbro, and how, during the 90s, it contributed to form the aesthetics of football that is recognize still today as one of the most iconic and beauty. Umbro represented – and still do – the perfect synthesis of the “past” football, of the first meeting between brand and teams, with its crazy patterns and the capability to shock the world.
Today Umbro seems to be basically focused on the out-field activities, in particular helping the “fashionizing” process of football. They’ve have done many collaboration; the most iconic of the ones is probably with House of Holland. The last one is with Le Fix, Copenhagen-based meanswear store, that in a note has express enthusiasm for this partnership: «refreshing insight that has been a dream for us...to work and study as we remember those days as an important milestone in our football obsession."
The capsule collection, that involve two football jersey, a jacket a one pair of shorts, pays homage to the 90s, mixed with the fantasy of some iconic Scandinavian pattern (like Hummel). A beautiful news for every football fans, that would be soon available here.
