Le Coq Sportif x LC23 capsule collection
A French-Italian combination, inspired by tennis player Yannick Noah
May 18th, 2017
The modus operandi is quite clear, take garments with marked sports inspiration and adapt those to the daily life, following this change that right now involves all the brands, big and small. In the first category, there is Le Coq Sportif, that has just presented its new collaboration with Leo Colacicco, better know with the name of his brand, LC23.
An Italian-French combination that took inspiration from a great tennis player, stylish and eclectic in and outside the field, Yannick Noah. New York Knicks’ Joakim Noah’s father wore an iconic polo in 1988 that inspired this capsule collection. Even with this intentionally tennis soul, Le Coq Sportif and LC23’s collection also has several football shades, witnessing the fact that the ‘beautiful game’ has been run over by this new tendency.
The collection, entirely made and developed in the brand’s French workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, includes several garments that recalls that iconic polo wore by Yannick in 1988. It also features a sweatshirt - also inspired by the tennis player’s one - and two sleeveless sweatshirts with different colorations.
