Liverpool celebrates the club's birthday with a pair of "LFC 247"
For the 125th anniversary of the Reds, New Balance produced a special pair of red trainers

For a few weeks now, Liverpool has been launching initiatives to celebrate the club’s 125th birthday, founded in 1892. Luckily for us, Merseyside club also is releasing tons of official themed merchandise, among which - of course - the shirt for the next year, which won’t miss to remind us the important anniversary.
But if we could expect an homage to the club’s history on the next season shirt, the same can’t be said for Reds’ last release, announced a few hours ago on Liverpool’s official Facebook page. In collaboration with New Balance, the official supplier of Jürgen Klopp’s boys in the last years, the club produced a special pair of 247s, NB’s trainers, with the coloration of the club. Other than red itself, the same used for 17/18 kits, the shoes also have a special label on the tongue, with the Liverpool crest and the “LFC” writing, while “125 years” is said on the side of the shoe, to remark the important milestone. Just like on the Nike Tiempo Totti X Roma, one of the gems is hidden in the inner sole, where the crest of the club, the anniversary and the two dates of the foundation are written in gold.
The “LFC 247”, that’s the official name of the shoe, will be available from May 19 on Liverpool’s online store, alongside with the new home kit and all the merchandising connected to the 125th anniversary.
