Parabens, Pendolino Today Marcos Evangelista de Moraes, better known as Cafu, turns 47

In Italian football, there are many Brazilian players that can say to have become part of this sport’s history and supporters’ hearts. Among these players has to be Marcos Evangelista de Moraes, better known as Cafu. The Brazilian full-back has won everything, everywhere. Two times World Champions (as a youngster in 1994, and then again in 2002), Italian champion in Roma’s historical Scudetto, and European Champions in Milan’s triumphal marches. And also an American Cup, a Libertadores, a Club World Cup and much more.

Other than the silverware - and the first place in the appearances with Brazil’s shirt (142) - Cafu has always managed to be appreciated by his supporters and the opponents, for his sincere smile and his way to play football, typical of the Brazilian, fill with ‘alegria’. Today Cafu turns 47, and what better way to celebrate him than by remembering that time he humiliated Pavel Nedved? Parabens, Pendolino!
