The adidas Predator Ultra Boost by Jack The Ripper
The Canadian 'Sneaker Alchemist' created a superb mashup between football and street
June 23rd, 2017
In the last few months, adidas philosophy to get ‘pitch' and ‘street’ closer and closer have been clearer day after day, as testified by all the Nurnberg-based company’s latest productions. Clearly, the “from the stadium to the street” motto also influenced several independent creators, like Jack the Ripper, who defines himself as a “Sneaker Alchemist”.
On Canadian artist’s Instagram profile, because we’re really talking about art, has recently appeared its latest project, which is the perfect embodiment - even if re-interpreted than adidas - of Three Stripes’ street philosophy. The Ripper, in fact, took a model of Ultra Boost - a shoe used for running or daily life - creating an amazing mashup with the adidas Predator Mania, recently came back with their 2017 version. What Jack The Ripper did, was to take a pair of Ultra Boost and customize it with black and red Python, also with white ‘three stripes’ and the iconic red tongue of the adidas shoe. And so we have the adidas Predator Ultra Boosts, a unique meeting between football and street that maybe it can become something bigger one day.
For now, the only thing you can do is to admire this and other projects on Jack The Ripper’s Instagram profile.
