The best jerseys from the Champions League 2017/18

The countdown is over, Champions League season is starting tonight. After the preliminary stages, tonight first games of the group stage are on: the most interesting match will be tonight at Camp Nou when Barcelona is going to face Juventus. The other Italian teams in the competition - Roma and Napoli - are going to face Simeone's Atletico Madrid and Shakhtar Donetsk, while the champions in charge of Real Madrid is going to host the Apoel Nicosia. 

But the competition will not be just with the ball, but also on the look. The main brands are battling to have more teams with the visibility guaranteed by the Champions League's stage: as we can see in this infographic made by Planetafobal, adidas and Nike are dominating equally with twelve and thirteen teams, after New Balance with five and Macron, Puma and Kappa with one each.

But not all the jerseys are the same: at Nss we selected our favorites kits out of the 34 participating teams.

5. FC Basel away, adidas

The new adidas FC Basel 2017-18 kit introduces a classic half-and-half design for the Swiss club that last season won its 20th league title. The kit was chosen with a pool, even though the final design is different to the shirt designs shown by the club one year ago.

4. Paris Saint Germain third kit, Nike

The kit was presented by Neymar junior: it has a dark tone thanks to the total black coloration, with a tonal dazzle camo design inspired by Paris architectural icons, especially the hidden silhouette of the Tour Eiffel, as symbol of modernity and tradition.

3. FC Liverpool home, New Balance

The Liverpool 17-18 home kit introduces a spectacular retro look to celebrate the club's 125th anniversary. Inspired by the Liverpool jerseys of the 1970s, the Liverpool 2017-18 home shirt is a darker red than in recent years, while it features a special logo to commemorate the 125th anniversary.

2. S.L. Benfica home, adidas

The Benfica 2017-18 home shirt is inspired by the kits worn during the Eusebio era when the club won 11 domestic titles. Therefore, it features a classic white collar and a clean front without any graphic design.

1. Celtic F.C. away, New Balance

The striking new 2017/18 Away Kit is the latest in a series of the Live the Legend kit launches this summer, celebrating the legend of Celtic Football Club, while paying tribute to the legacy of Celtic’s greatest ever side, the Lisbon Lions. The Commemorative Crest on the kit evokes the European Cup final won by the celtics 50 years ago against the legendary Inter of Burnich, Facchetti and Mazzola.
