New Era - the cult brand known for the baseball hats - just presented the "Brooklyn To LA", a collection from the Heritage Series, that celebrates vintage and retrò sportswear. This all collection is a tribute to the 60th anniversary of one of the most important events in the American sports: when the baseball franchise of the Dodgers was moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles in 1957.

In 1957 Jack O'Malley, entrepreneur and owner of the Dodgers - a baseball team based in Brooklyn, New York - decided to move the team to Los Angeles, in the hope that the baseball would become popular also on the West Coast and not only in the East one. Brooklyn's fans felt betrayed by the owner since they had won their very first World Series in 1955. This was the first time that a sports team was moved from a town to another, a thing that now is a regular habit in the American sports. The O'Malley's intuition was genius at the end: the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series for five times, and the president become an Hall of Famer

The "Brooklyn to LA" collection is composed in primis by the iconic 59FIFTY hat, a fitted model, available with both of the original crests, the one of Cooperstown LA Dodgers and the historic one Brooklyn Dodgers. The most precious product of the collection is the classic college Letterman. The satin lining, the leather pockets, the Dodgers logo in wool twill and enameled pressure buttons, make the jacket an ideal replica for aficionados and collectors.

The collection is complemented by a vintage sweatshirt and a robust white cotton jersey t-shirt with the words "Keep the Dodgers in the Brooklyn Committee" and "From Brooklyn to Los Angeles".

The Heritage collection is available online on neweracap.eu.
