The most beautiful jerseys of the Europa League 2017/18
Which is going to start tonight: we selected the best jerseys among the 48 participants clubs
September 14th, 2017
After the first two nights of Champions League, tonight it's time for Europa League's kickoff. In the group stage, there will be 48 teams competing, with three Italians team: Lazio, Milan and the most waited European comeback of Atalanta. The Europa League is probably the most tiring and difficult trophy to gain in Europe: the competition is long and though, with many different teams a style of play. The tournament is also a great stage for the sports brand to show off their best kit designs. Thanks to planetafobal, we can give you an overview of the 2017-18 Europa League kit makers. And while the Champions League is dominated by the two big brands (adidas and Nike), the 2017-2018 Europa League offers much more variety in terms of brands. adidas is the leading kit supplier of the 2017-2018 Europa League season with 13 teams, followed by Nike with 10 clubs. Macron and Puma come third with five teams, respectively. There is also a curious case: Israeli club Maccabi makes the kits in-house in order to have absolutely bespoke kits.
At Nss Sports, we selected the most beautiful jerseys that we are gonna watch in this Europa League's season. Let's start.
Slavia Prague home, Umbro
It's a sweet classic: the most traditional football kit in the Czech lands is entering its 125th year. With the exception of years 1953 to 1956 when Slavia was forced to abandon their traditional colors by the communist regime, the club has been wearing the same kits since its very first game.
Milan away, adidas
The new AC Milan away shirt for the 17/18 season reinterprets with a bold spirit some sparks took from the kits of the past, those that contributed to creating the legend of the Grande Milan, presenting at the same time a modern look, crafted to fit perfectly with the daily urban style.
Olympique Marseille third kit, adidas
This third kit is designed to stand out on the pitch featuring an unusual and bold color combination. Inspired by the club's rich history, the Olympique Marseille 17-18 third kit features a classic logo from its early days (with the motto "Droit au but", as well as a special fabric that aims to resemble that of traditional football uniforms and a polo collar.
Lazio away Europa League, Macron
Lazio is coming back to Europe after two years, and they doing it with class. This jersey is inspired by the Argentinian model in which the Roma's club won the European Cup in 1999, with Alessandro Nesta, Marcelo Salas, and Bobo Vieri.
AEK Athen third kit, Nike
The AEK's third kit is a tribute to their wonderful crest: the bifrontal hawk is a memento of their origins. The club was indeed founded by Turkish refugees in 1924, and as a connection to their heritages, they adopted the Costantinopoli's arm.
Nice third kit, Macron
A clean and cool design: in this jersey, there is no historical reference or strange detail, it is just a well-made jersey with a great black and blue colorway.
