Nike launches the "Play Free" campaign with Ronaldinho
Inspired by the letter that he wrote for The Players' Tribune, it glorifies the Brazilian's philosophy of joy and freedom

A few months ago, a letter written by Ronaldinho Gaucho himself was published on The Players’ Tribune. Dinho’s words went all around the world, mainly through social networks, because he was telling some unpublished moments of his career but mainly because it instilled - maybe as never before - the true philosophy of the most magic player of football history: “Play Free”.
The Brazilian’s words inspired a campaign, launched today by Nike Football, in which Ronaldinho send to the love of his life a message: “Dear football, if I may give you an advice, I will tell you that my father said to me once. Play with the ball. Play free”. The campaign was launched with a video of Ronaldinho himself, alongside with other Nike athletes like Neymar Jr., Vinicius, Kylian Mbappe, Mallory Pugh and Tammy Abraham. And some of the quotes said in the video were placed on a series of downloadable posters for smartphones, like the campaign’s motto “Play Free”, written with a particular font… The Ronaldinho.
For now, no other product or content related to the “Play Free” campaign by Nike Football has been announced, but maybe in the future, we’ll see something more than just an emotional video and smartphone wallpapers.
