Football turns 160
Today is the anniversary of the foundation of Sheffield Football Club, the oldest club in the history of football

Maybe you didn’t know that but today, football turns 160. No, we didn’t make it up, as on October 24, 1857, in England, Sheffield Football Club, nowadays recognized as the first football club in the world, was founded. And more, Sheffield is also recognized for the creation of the first organized team, the first rulebook for the beautiful game, and the first derby in football history.
