Nike realized a pair of custom Mercurials to celebrate Lieke Martens

These are days of joy for Nike Football, that just saw two of its athletes crowned as “The Best” in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo, in fact, wasn’t the only one to be crowned by FIFA, as Lieke Martens, striker of Holland National Female team - which he led to the win of the European Championship, becoming the player of the tournament - and Barcelona, was awarded as well. And just like for CR7, Nike created a custom pair of boots for her as well.

In her case these are even more exclusive, as this pair of Nike Mercurial Superfly will be worn just by her. The base is the classic one of the Swoosh boot, realized in blue and orange, the colors of the Oranje Leeuwinnen (orange lionesses) and with a silver “LIEKE” writing on the side, replacing the original “Nike” one. On the heel there’s the symbol of the Dutch team, while on the intersole there’s the Leeuwinnen writing. A nice way by Nike to celebrate one of the best female players of the last year. It’s too bad you’ll never wear her boots.
