adidas unveiled Argentina's home kit for the World Cup

This morning, adidas Football chose to hit us football apparel lovers, presenting nothing less than eight kits of national teams that will participate in the Russia World Cup next summer. The released kits are A) super-cool, B) super-nostalgic, C) destined to be worn by some of the best footballers in the world. Just like Argentina’s one, that in June will be worn by Leo Messi during his quest to conquer the last missing dream in his unbelievable showcase, the World Cup, that he’ll have to pull out to the reigning champions Germany.

All adidas’ kits for the Soviet World Cup have a common element, they all are inspired by some iconic kits of the past. For the Albiceleste, the shirt is inspired by the one worn during the 1993 Copa America, won by Argentina thanks to a double by Gabriel Batistuta against Mexico (another team that has already presented its kit). The new adidas shirt is mostly white, with only three azure vertical stripes that give the kit a very retro tone. The Three Stripes are relegated on the shoulders, abandoning the lateral placement of the previous kits. Black shorts and socks complete this new home kit of the Albiceleste.
