Passing over the initial skepticism, Di Francesco's team is showing solid and cynical, with a good ranking in Serie A and wide improvement margins. But since we are not interested in club’s concrete results, here you are the stranger kits that excited us more.
Cup shirt 2001-02 by Kappa
After winning the Scudetto in 2001, Kappa proposes a uniform made exclusively for the elegant Champions League nights. Often the jersey’s European versions tease the purist fan, while the design enthusiast enjoys watching alternative jerseys. Whether you like it or not, meanwhile the Giallorossi did the exploit at Real Madrid’s home.
Special 2016-17 by Nike
The minimal uniform with which the team is dressed by Nike for the last captain Totti’s derby is pure class and elegance.
Home 1979-80 by Pouchain
The exception to the exception. The t-shirt came in the current season taking over adidas’ kit for the returning round. In addition to the unusual appearance, the design is also imaginative and innovative. The author of the nuanced jersey was Piero Gratton, the inventor of the glorious lupetto in the '80s. So beautiful that inspired a recent COPA’s clothing line.
Third 2016-17 by Nike
Last year Nike has come up with shades designing a series of extravagant third kits. The American brand painted Guardiola’s Man City orange-purple, Barça water green, and Inter as a Sprite can. With Rome, it went a little better, maybe.
