adidas Football x Parley For The Oceans pre-game shirts
The Three Stripes committed once again in removing plastic waste from our oceans
December 11th, 2017
It has been more than a year since the first time that the football world met Parley For The Oceans, the collective that is committed to sustain and raise awareness about the fragile situation of our oceans, that are often reduced in critical situations by pollution and waste. adidas Football teamed up once more with Parley, this time to create a series of pre-game kits for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Juventus.
As usual, the work by the Three Stripes and Parley For The Oceans gathers plastic waste from the oceans, turning it into high-performance apparel for the pre-game routine of the best clubs affiliated with adidas Football. It’s not the first time that football teams wear apparel made by Parley, that in the past already made some special jerseys for Real Madrid, Bayern, and some MLS clubs. All the shirts are 100% made of recycled polyester, made out of Parley Ocean Plastic, a fabric created from up-cycled marine plastic pollution intercepted by Parley clean-up operations in the Maldives.
Still, the apparel produced from the collaboration with adidas Football is top level and it perfectly blends the Three Stripes’ eco-innovative features and technologies. The design was also studied carefully, with a tangle of bitonal stripes with different thickness in the front part. Other than adidas logo and the club’s crest, all the shirts have the “For The Oceans” writing on the inner side of the necklace.
