December 12th, 2017
The Christmas tradition of the ugly sweaters is well known in the NBA, as well as the hoodie tradition that this summer was take to another level thanks to "Hoodie" Melo Antonhy so that Nike insert the hood in the official warm-up jackets. Now Jr. Smith - creative talent and hustler human being - is melting this two tradition in one presenting the "Ugly Sweater Hoodie", as TMZ reports. The hoodie is completed with the phrase, "Merry Swishmas."
The whole operation is part of the beef between the Cavs' player and the famous NBA commentator Stephen A. Smith. He beefed him a few months ago when the ESPN star ripped J.R. for wearing a hoodie on the bench during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Stephen A. said, "You've got a lot of those white folks in the audience that are going to think this is Trayvon Martin being revisited and I'm not joking about it. The bench is no place for someone to be wearing a hoodie."
