Jordan Brand unveiled the Why Not Zer0.1, Westbrook's first signature shoe
The sneaker dedicated to the NBA MVP will be available in the "Mirror Image" and "2-Way" colorways

After a beginning of 2018 full of rumors about Russell Westbrook’s possible first signature shoe, the Jordan brand wanted to clarify everything, officially presenting the first two versions of the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1. In the last days, we reported some pictures of the Jordan Fly Next “Creamsicle”, those that were likely to be the first sneakers dedicated to Westbrook. We were partially right, as His Airness brand confirmed that that would be the referring model, even if with different colorways.
The Why Not Zer0.1 is a sneaker that represents the essence of the NBA MVP, both with his unstoppable style of play on the hardwood and his eccentric off-court style. Of course, the shoe also features everything that can help Westbrook playing his own way, thanks to the restrictive vamp, that with its ideal forefoot containment is perfect for number zero’s break-neck pace. The sneaker features a mesh upper, Air Zoom unit and of course Westbrook’s trademark “Why Not?” on the tongue.
The launching colorways for the Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 are two: one is called the “2-Way” and represents Russell’s dominance on both sides of the game, with a balanced contraposition of the two main colors: black and white. The other one is called “Mirror Image” and already debuted at Westbrook’s feet during the games against the Lakers. It’s the representation of how the sports icon are celebrated over generations and it should recall a heavily-postered bedroom. The left shoe spotlights images of Micheal Jordan, while the right highlights Westbrook himself.
The Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 “Mirror Image” will launch on January 15 in limited numbers and the “2-Way” will see a widespread global release on February 15 for a price of $125 USD.
