January 8th, 2018
It’s possible, after the Epiphany launch and the last days of holiday, that you have missed a very important detail: as 2018 has begun, we’re officially in the World Cup year! And even if we as Italians are not so excited for the first Mundial that will be played without the Azzurri in a million years, the truth is that between the second part of June and the first of July all the attention of the football world will be on Russia. Apparently, Off-White founder Virgil Abloh will be one of the most attentive.
According to a leak appeared on Twitter, Abloh could be preparing to continue its partnership with Nike, with a World Cup-inspired drop that should release in time for the international tournament. According to Twitter user @py_rates, Nike and Off-White are thinking about a “soccer pack” that includes various clothing and a soccer ball, mainly realized in white, black, and orange. There still a chance to see some sort of footwear, but it still has to be confirmed.
*LEAK ALERT*: @Nike & @OffWht will be dropping an entire collection of Soccer related items later this year to coincide with the Fifa World Cup.

There are no official news, confirmed dates or more specific details, but and eventual World-Cup-inspired collaboration between the Swoosh and Virgil Abloh could be a great addition to a tournament that will already have so much “hot” pieces. The rumor is more than concrete, as Abloh himself confirmed Off-White brand’s interest in football during the recent Miami Art Basel, where there has been a Nike workshop focused on football jerseys and a game with Virgil Abloh himself.
