A few weeks ago, a Twitter used rose the hype among fashion and sportswear enthusiasts for the 2018 World Cup, reporting the news of an alleged Nike x Off-White collaboration, ready to be dropped for the tournament that will be held in Russia next summer. There has immediately been a huge curiosity around this rumor, that looks a concrete one and could comprehend some jerseys, hoodies, jackets and - apparently - a pair of football boots.
On Instagram, precisely on @gunt22 and @toffem profiles, some interesting concept appeared, a brief glance at what we could expect from this Nike x Off-White collabo.
User @toffem, that already realized the concept of the Off-White x Nike Tiempo Legend, repeated himself, imagining a pair of Nike Mercurial Superfly. In his unboxing, we can appreciate the details of the shoe, from the classic writings (“Swoosh”, “Superfly”, “Flyknit”) of Off-White iconography, to the red labels. User @gunt22 got even further, also designing the Magista and Hypervenom models in an Off-White key, both realized with different tones of white and beige.
The concept that can be more interesting could be the Nike x Off-White shirt, realized by @gunt22, that can give us an idea about the final version. Actually, we already saw something at the Art Basel in Miami, when Abloh participated in a workshop about football shirts. In this version, the white shirt features the “Shirt” and “For Playing Football” writings, other than classic Off-White “address”. Again, this is just a concept, but this World Cup is just about to get super interesting.
