Nike Basketball unveiled "City Edition" colorways for the Air Force 1
Every model realized through Nike ID will feature colors and details inspired by the main cities of the NBA

After delighting us with Miami Heat’s city edition “Miami Vice” uniform, Nike Basketball also presented a namesake version of the Air Force 1, realized with new colorway through Nike ID to homage the main cities of the National Basketball Association. Right now, Nike unveiled ten models, that comprehends the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, and Toronto Raptors.
Other than bringing the iconic colors of those cities, the “City Edition” of the Air Force 1 are embellished with some characteristic details of the various localities. For example, in the model dedicated to the Rockets, the Asian heritage of the city is represented by a Chinese character tongue overlay. On Bulls’ sneakers there a star, symbol of the Illinois city. The Golden State Warriors’ model has the Chinese dragon, that is also represented on the franchise’s city edition uniform. On Celtics’ Air Force 1 there’s a green heel tab with all of the team’s championship years.
