Jordan unveils the 2018 NBA All-Star Game Uniforms
Black&White is the way
January 26th, 2018
Last week we were able to take a first peek at the uniforms of the All-Star Game 2018, today the NBA and Nike have officially unveiled the official jerseys designed by Jordan Brand that will be worn on 16, 17 and 18 February, or the three days in which the All-Star Weekend will take place at the Staples Center Los Angeles. The testimonial of the launch campaign for this year is Russel Westbrook: selected in the quintet led by LeBron James.
Two are the big innovations in this year jerseys. First, is the producer: this year, for the first time in league history, the NBA‘s biggest stars will be sporting the iconic Jumpman logo along with their respective team motifs. The second one is the theme decided by Jordan's designers: utilizing a clean black-and-white color scheme featuring individual team logos and a font inspired by Los Angeles street sign typography.
The result is diving the NBA fans on Twitter: some find it very boring, others like the minimal style. Among the elements to consider are the fact that it is the first time that the brand makes uniforms for the All-Star Game and the priority chosen by Jordan is that of the fit out of the parquet, rather than on-court. What do you think?
