The website to realize Leeds United's new crest After the debacle of the first logo, a supporter created an online hub to upload all the designs

A few days ago, we talked about Leeds United’s unsuccessful attempt to renews its branding. The English club, one of the richest of history and tradition of Britain football, had just unveiled its new crest to the world, presenting it as the result of a long and intense study made alongside with Leeds’ supporters.

Well, things surely didn't came out as the marketing department was hoping, as for the 10 thousand people that should’ve participated in the surveys, there have been more than 77 thousand who signed the petition to immediately stop the change of crest, that they thought looked like a bad imitation of the ones we used to see on unlicensed video games back in the days.

And, in fact, some changes have been made, as Leeds management decided to listen to the supporters’ opinions and - even if with a little bit of lateness - pulled the new crest back. And maybe they got a little help by Sam Pittman, a designer from the NB Studio in London, that created an online hub where supporters can share their proposals and designs for Leeds United’ new crest. The site was immediately successful, as it gathered almost 150 designs within 24 hours, all inspired by the history and tradition of the club. So, dear Leeds managers, here you have your answer: THIS is what your supporters want.
