Nike presented the Mercurial Superfly 360 x Kim Jones

A few weeks ago, when Nike Football unveiled the new generation of Mercurial Vapor e Mercurial Superfly, one of the central icons of the boot presentation has been the cheetah, the feline that, according to Nike, represents the nature itself of the Mercurial silo. Now, this wild nature comes out in a special model only dedicated to Cristiano Ronaldo and realized in collaboration with Kim Jones, Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton.

Jones, that spent his childhood following his hydrogeologist father between Kenya and Botswana, inspired from this amazing animal for this particular version of the Mercurial silo: “The cheetah is the fastest land animal, so it makes complete sense as an inspiration for me.” The Mercurial Superfly 360 x Kim Jones will be worn only by Cristiano Ronaldo in one of the most important games of the year, the second leg of the Champions League last 16 on March 6 against PSG.

While the structure of the shoe remains the same of the original version, Kim Jones’ hands come out with the aesthetic of the boot. The Flyknit upper, in fact, is entirely covered by black spots - always on a total orange base - representing the cheetah coat. Kim Jones’ name is placed on the back side of the boot, on the internal sole, and the soleplate, other than on the bag that comes with the boot, that also have the same Safari print, just like the box.

The Mercurial Superfly 360 x Kim Jones, as said, will debut on March 6, during the Champions League clash at the Parc des Princes. Starting from halftime, the boot will be available at the Nike Store on Paris Champs Elysees and at nike.com, in limited quantities.
