It’s been a while since we had the chance to talk about the latest release in the sneaker world, but today we decided to make amend, with a brief look at the most hyped releases that will hit the shelters in the next weeks.
Let’s start with Jordan Brand that, after presenting the first Russell Westbrook signature shoe, has unveiled the third version of the sneaker signed by Chris Paul, that is having one of the best seasons of his career, leading the Houston Rockets to a record-breaking 57 wins (and counting) season. For CP3’s shoe, Jordan chose to follow the five pillars of the sneaker construction: stability, traction, cushion, quickness, and personality.
The Jordan CP3.XI - that’s the name - will have an upper with red shades, cut horizontally by a grey stripe with Jordan branding, while Chris Paul’s logo can be found on the heel and the tongue. Expect the CP3.XI to hit the Jordan brand’s shelters in the next month.
Let’s move to Jordan brand’s motherhouse, Nike, that showed itself at DeMar DeRozan’s feet with a new version of the Kobe A.D., Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe. During the game lost in Cleveland against the Cavs, DeRozan - who is a great Black Mamba fan - worn the NXT 360, with next-generation Flyknit upper and silver lateral Swoosh, al leaned on a blue sole unit.
A little final gem for all the Damian Lillard and/or Black Panther fans. Artist @mammothnamedjim realized a pair of adidas DAME 4 inspired by the new Marvel colossal. The shoe is basically black, with purple and blue detailing inspired by the Virbanium element of the movie. The laces eyelets are an homage to Black Panther suit, while on the foot neck you can find the now famous quote “Wakanda Forever” and the helmet of the Marvel superhero.
