Sneaker news: the past and the present Nike and the Jordan Brands homage both some great moments of the past and the champions of the present

Even this week we want to keep you informed about the latest sneakers releases and news, after enjoying some nice gems in the past week. There are two brands to talk about this week: Nike, that keeps homaging its current best player, and Jordan, that highlights both the past and the present.

Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 “Triple-Double”

In fact, the first news is about Russell Westbrook, one of NBA current superstars. The Jordan Brand wanted to celebrate Russ’ massive record, as twelve months ago he recorded the 42nd triple-double of his regular season, crushing Oscar Robertson’s previous milestone.

The Why Not Zer0.1 “Triple-Double” features Oklahoma City Thunder’s Blue/Orange/Black color palette and has the 04/09/17 date printed on the soleplate, the day Westbrook wrote history. The sneaker will be available from April 9 at $125.

Air Jordan 1 Mid “Charlotte Hornets”

Recently, the AJ1 has been used to homage Michael Jordan’s career, as happened with the Chicago Bulls-themed one. This time, the sneaker is presented with the color palette associated to the Charlotte Hornets, the team MJ owns, Teal/White/Purple. The colors are divided between the gum sole, the premium leather upper and the shoelaces.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Charlotte Hornets” is already available at Jordan retailers for $110.

“Toro” Air Jordan Son Of Mars Low

For the new version of the sneaker made in collaboration with Spike Lee, the Jordan Brand and the director decided to use the bright red of the Air Jordan 4 “Toro”, this time applied on the nubuck leather upper, with black and white details. The shoe is completed by white Jumpman on the heel and the tongue, other than the “Son of Mars” writing on the lace locks.

You can already buy the “Toro” Air Jordan Son Of Mars Low at selected Jordan retailers for $180.

Nike LeBron 15 "Neon 95"

Now it’s finally time for Nike, that keeps the LeBron Watch Program up, unveiling a series of versions for the Nike LeBron 15 inspired by King James’ favorite sneakers. This time it was Air Max 95 “Neon” turn, with a clear reference with the Chosen One’s logo on the tongue, other than the colorway and the green neon air unit.

Following the previous LeBron Watch Program releases, the Nike LeBron 15 "Neon 95” should be available soon on the SNKRS app, as the Chose One already worn them while crushing the Brooklyn Nets last night.
