Nou Camp Nou
Barcelona city council finally gave the green light to the beginning of the Blaugrana stadium renovation
April 16th, 2018
Nou Camp has always been considered - rightfully - one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world. The Colosseum-inspired structure, the presence of almost one hundred thousand souls, and the amazing atmosphere of the Catalan supporters made it a proper football masterpiece. Problem is that structurally speaking, Barcelona’s stadium really looks like a monument in terms of infrastructures and services. And that’s why the club has been working for a while to launch the projects to renew the Camp Nou, with an investment worth €600M.
Espai Barça is the name of the project that foresees the complete renovation of the stadium, with the makeover of the entire structure and the increase of the capacity from 90 to 105 thousand, other than the renewal of the entire surrounding area and the arena where Barcelona basketball team plays. The news is that the city council finally gave the first green light for the beginning of the works, with the final confirmation that is set to arrive before the end of the month. The club also unveiled a series of stunning renders that give a precise idea of how the “Nou Camp Nou” will look like after the restoration. And we gotta say it, it looks like it could really become the most beautiful stadium in the world.
