If yesterday afternoon you felt an unexplainable shiver down your spine, you should know that it’s probably Kylian Mbappé’s fault. PSG’s French striker, in fact, dropped thousands of football boots enthusiasts’ jaws by publishing a stunning Instagram story. From a NIKEiD branded box, he took a pair of R9 Mercurial Superfly 360. The design of the iconic boot dedicated to Ronaldo turns 20 years old, having been presented for the first time ahead of the 1998 World Cup.
And yesterday Mbappé, while wearing his pair of custom Off-White x Nike Mercurial Vapor, unboxed - its’ what he did - this stunning Swoosh silo, that we should expect to release ahead of the World Cup that will begin next June in Russia. The classic R9 design has been applied to the most recent evolution of the Nike boot, the Mercurial Superfly 360, that presents a grey foot-collar and black laces. On the upper, there are the iconic blue and yellow waves, and also yellow swoosh. On the boot, there’s also the “Mbappé” naming and the France flag, while the soleplate is silver like most part of the upper.
Except for this stunning leak, there is no other info about this R9 Mercurial Superfly 360, but we should expect more news from Nike in the next weeks. So, make sure not to miss any update on nss sports and - as it seems - on Mbappé’s Instagram profile.
