Manchester City celebrated the title in 25 different cities

Among the many football events of the last weekend - that you can recap with our 5 GIFs special - there also was the so awaited trophy lifting by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City that, after conquering the Premier League a few weeks ago, finally lifted the cup to the sky in front of its supporters at Etihad Stadium. It’s just a small part of the celebrations, that started on the pitch and will end with the parade through the city’s streets. Away from the spotlights, though the Citizens celebrated by homaging their players in a very original way.

As announced by Manchester club through its social channels, customized congratulation billboards have been projected in every hometown of all the players of the team. Starting from Bruxelles, where captain Vincent Kompany was born and arriving in Buenos Aires, home of Nico Otamendi and Kun Agüero. A proper journey around the world, which touched 25 cities including Manchester itself, where the club projected the biggest billboard of all on the Town Hall in the city center. A very original way to celebrate the title, the third in the last seven years.
