Milwaukee Bucks rising star, Giannis Antetokounmpo has finally inked a new deal with Nike. The deal also gives him the opportunity to release his first signature shoe with the sneaker mogul. This opportunity makes him only the 22nd player ever to have a signature shoe.
The rumored shoe was first teased back in November of 2017. According to ESPN’s Nick DePaula, since the production of the signature shoe takes an average of 14 to 19 months the shoe will release in Fall 2019.
The Greek Freak 1s, as Giannis teased on Twitter recently, have been kept totally top secret so far. We know Giannis himself will be very involved in the design. They’re assumed to be minimalistic and low given his syle on the court. And it will definitely have a combination of Kobe’s and Kyrie. Giannis generally always wears Kobe X Lows on the court.

It’s probable that he will earn an estimated $7 and $10 million per season with this endorsement. And he will also reportedly receive five percent of royalties in the United States and a higher percentage abroad. According to SB Nation, Nike will also release commercials, logos and various marketing campaigns around the Bucks star, cementing the success of his image all over the world.
Giannis had a great season becoming the third most selling jersey as a result of his performance on the court. So the anticipation for his upcoming shoe release is stronger than ever.
