After the dominant performance in the first game of western conference finals, where Kevin Durant scored 37 points leading the Warriors to win in Houston, our attention today shifted to few pictures appeared on the web that revealed the new signature shoe of Golden State’s power forward: the KD 11.
Trying to understand more about the shoe we can say that it’s built by a sock-like upper is made by a thick version of Flyknit, the material chosen by the athlete for the last two models, attached to a translucid sole that let see through the encapsulated insole technology of this new shoe. The KD line has always focused on a strong impact protection, that will also let Durant has a flexible and reacting response. Probably for this reasons Nike introduced a new combination of materials: a full-length Zoom Air bag encapsulated in a big React sole. A mix of Nike’s cushioning systems is something that we saw before on the Kobe line, with a mix of Lunarlon and Zoom Air in the Kobe X making it one of the most loved shoes by players.
The release of this new model that Kevin Durant will wear the next season, or as other player did before, he will rock this new shoes on the last games of the playoffs is expected at the end of June. Check this new shoe and a detailed picture of its new technology:
