Nike Football unveils Inter Milan 2018/19 home kit
The jersey features details from the OG 98/99 Nike kit and sees the return of the Biscione

Among the long-standing relationships in football, there surely is the one between Inter and Nike Football, that has been dressing the Nerazzurri for twenty years, taking them to the highest moments of glory and the less shining ones. Days ahead of the end of the season, that could end with Inter’s return in the Champions League, the Swoosh presented the kit that marks the twentieth anniversary of Nike-branded Inter shirts.
To celebrate this important anniversary, Nike chose to take inspiration from the two most-appreciated shirts by Inter supporters of the last two decades, the first 1998/99 shirt and the appreciated 2011/12 kit. Inter’s OG kit was the quintessence of the Milanese club’s jerseys, with subtle vertical blue and black stripes, with golden Swoosh and crest outlines. The second kit, worn by the Nerazzurri in the season after the historic Triplete, featured distorted vertical stripes to create a serpent-like effect that invoked Il Biscione, the symbol of the city and club’s identity.
In this kit realized by Nike Football for the 2018/19 season, the very Biscione symbol comes back, represented in the inferior part of the shirt by a snakeskin-like design, while golden Swoosh and crest outlines are a reference to Inter’s first Nike shirt. “There is no better way to celebrate two decades of success than by going back to the start of this relationship”, said Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director.
