Nike celebrates MJ's "The Last Shot" with special edition Bulls jerseys
The shirts will be available both in the Authentic and Swingman versions
May 17th, 2018
On June 13, 1998, in Salt Lake City, Utah, one of the most legendary sports moments happened. With 5.2 seconds left in the fourth quarter of the NBA Finals’ Game 6 against the Jazz, Michael Jordan scored what has then become “The Last Shot”, his latest bucket with a Chicago Bulls jersey, that gave MJ and the franchise from the Windy City the sixth ring. Twenty years later, Nike Basketball keeps celebrating Jordan’s legacy, getting ready to release the special edition Bulls jerseys.
The shirts will be available in three different versions: one, the Authentic away, will be the exact replica of the one worn by MJ during that Game 6 at the Delta Center. The other two, the Swingman, will be replica versions of Bulls’ home and away jerseys that - it goes without saying - will have the “Jordan” naming and the number 23 on the back. All the shirts will be equipped with NikeConnect technology, that will allow unlocking special contents for “The Last Shot” docu-series that Netflix and ESPN will release in 2019.
