Nike Football unveiled Barcelona 18/19 home kit

It has been a weekend full of emotions at the Camp Nou, that for two days has seen all the players, coaches, and supporters’ attention focuses on only one man: Andrés Iniesta. The legendary Blaugrana midfielder, that will leave the Catalan club after an amazing career, has been celebrated in every way possible, including a special shirt realized by Nike Football. But the game against Real Sociedad has also been a good way to admire another shirt made by the Swoosh, the one that Barça will wear during the 2018/19 season.

The new Barcelona home kit, worn by Iniesta in his last game as Blaugrana player and captain, is inspired by the strength and unity of the 10 districts of the Catalan capital: Les Corts, Sants-Montjuïc, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, La Barceloneta, Sant Martí, Ciutat Vella, Gràcia, Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris and Sant Andreu. The 10 districts are represented on the shirt by as many vertical stripes of the same width, testifying the same importance of the city quarters. The shirts will be matched with blue shorts and socks, with a slightly darker tone that - having seen them on the pitch - we can confirm is a great graphic matchup.

Even before knowing what Barcelona will achieve the next season, we can already tell you that this kit will become history, just because Don Andrés wore it in his last game at Camp Nou. If you want it, it will be available from May 21 at nike.com and Barcelona official stores.
